System
Security
Security is a continual, ongoing and complex process
that requires in-depth knowledge of business, financial and
technical systems. All facets of these areas must be
considered when performing a System Security Evaluation.
The services we offer include:
- Review
of Policies and Procedures – Policies and
procedures are reviewed to ensure critical security
concerns are addressed and are promulgated to the user
community.
- Network
Perimeter Security Analysis – A Security analysis
of firewalls, routers, e-mail gateways, anti-virus
protection, and other critical components responsible
for information exchange between the company’s LAN/WAN
and the Internet is performed.
- Internal
Network Security Analysis – A security analysis of
internal applications and systems is performed.
Internal security is a crucial yet often overlooked
component that, when breached, can significantly impact
an organization.
- Intrusion
Detection – Existing Intrusion Detection Systems
(IDS) are analyzed to ensure the organization is
protected from improper entry and attacks on the
network. Recommendations can be provided if an IDS
is not effective.
- Incident
Handling – A security breach requires a quick and
organized response to regain control and mitigate the
disruption to your business. Existing Incident
Handling procedures are reviewed or new procedures can
be recommended.
Disaster
Recovery/Business Continuity
When systems fail, your business must be able to
continue operating. Data backups are just one aspect
of a complete business continuity plan and if your business
doesn’t have one you may not be fully protected.
Asher offers services to assist your
business in either analyzing and improving your existing
business continuity plan or help you develop one. All
facets of disaster recovery and business continuity are
covered. Any potential risks will be identified to the
client and a detailed plan will be put in place to resolve
the situation.
The services we offer include:
- Risk
Identification – Critical business functions are
reviewed and the potential risk is identified to each of
these functions.
- Impact
Analysis – The impact of a potential failure on a
critical business function is analyzed.
Recommendations are formulated to mitigate the impact.
- Policy
& Procedures Review – Policies and procedures
are reviewed to validate their effectiveness and
application. Recommendations for revised or new
policies and procedures are provided.
- Priorities
and Recovery Time Frames – Working with the
customer, recovery of critical business functions are
prioritized and a plan for an acceptable recovery time
frame is established for each function.
