The Valuation of Firms
for Temple MBA Students, Fall 2004
Temple
MBA students can take "The Valuation of Firms" during the Fall semester at
Temple University, Center City Campus. The course, taught by Susanne Spinell Shuster, CPA,
MST, will introduce students to managing and measuring the value of firms. It will include
a basic valuation exercise to familiarize students with the fundamentals of the Discounted
Cash Flow valuation model.
Financial Statement Analysis for Temple MBA
Students, Fall 2004
The course, "Financial Statement Analysis" will be offered for the
Fall semester to MBA students at Temple University, Center City Campus. The course,
taught by Asher & Company, Ltd.'s Susanne Spinell Shuster, CPA, MST, is designed to
develop understanding of the usefulness and limitations of historical financial statement
information and to implement this information in assessing a company's performance and
economic health. It also will develop an understanding of the use of cash flow and
earnings information in prospective analysis, forecasting and valuation.

Susanne's presentation was Financial Statements: A Business Tool for the Present and
Future. It covered financial statements as management tools and ratio analysis.
Nonprofit Institute Workshop, June 26, 2003
The Pennsylvania Bar Institute held the 2003 Nonprofit Institute on Thursday,
June 26 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Asher & Company, Ltd.'s Rachel
Winslow co-presented the When the FASB Meets State Law-Do Your Financial Statements
