August 6, 2010 – The City of Philadelphia has issued the following small changes to the City Wage Tax rate and the sales and use tax rate.

City Wage/Earnings Tax Decrease
The City Wage Tax rate effective as of July 1, 2010
through December 31, 2010 is:

Residents: 3.928%
Non-Residents: 3.4985%

Sales and Use Tax Rate Increase
Effective October 8, 2009, the City of Philadelphia increased its local sales and use tax rate from 1% to 2%. The tax rate change is effective from October 8, 2009 through June 30, 2014.
