The
IRS
requires employers who use federal Form 941 to use the new
form for the first quarter of 2005.
Here are some user tips from QuickBooks:
QuickBooks 2005
- Download and install Payroll Update 20506. Do
this before you prepare Form 941 and Q1 2005.
- Payroll Update 20506 includes the new Form 941 and
updates to all state quarterly payroll tax forms for
2005.
QuickBooks 2004
- Download and install Payroll Update 20506.
Do this before you prepare Form 941 and Q1 2005.
- Download and install product update R9. This product
is needed before the new Form 941 is prepared.
QuickBooks 2003
- Download and install Payroll Update 20506.
Do this before you prepare for Form 941 and Q1
2005.
- Download and install product update R10. This product
is needed before the new Form 941 is prepared.
Note to all
QuickBooks users: If
you need to prepare a Form 941 and/or a state quarterly
payroll tax for a previous quarter, prepare the forms before
you download the new update.
QuickBooks only stores one version of each form at a
time, plus you cannot use the new forms for filings before
2005.
