Philadelphia City Wage Tax goes down  -  effective July 1, 2008, the wage tax will decrease from 4.219% to 3.98% for city residents and from 3.7242% to 3.5392% for non-residents.  That's roughly $2.00 for every $1,000 of salary.  Spend it wisely!

Important Date Change for Charity Registrations -  Be advised that registration for calendar-year-end organizations must be filed with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Charitable Organizations (BCO) by May 14.  Because 2008 is a leap year, the due date is a day earlier than the usual May 15 deadline.  Organizations may request an extension by filing Form BCO-2 on or before the registration due date.  For more information, please visit the PA Dept. of State website.
