Specific Credentials:

Senior Auditor - Affordable Housing |
|

|
Duties: |
|
|
Performs documented procedures, prepares work papers, drafts reports and
financial statements, and any necessary footnotes for audit, compilation and review engagements.
Performs additional procedures for complex audit engagements for affordable housing projects and applies in-depth knowledge
of HUD and various housing agency regulations. This includes set up of financial statements, initial drafting of footnotes,
and review agreements and contracts to identify any audit requirements. Plans audits and identifies the risk of material misstatement.
Reviews work performed by Jr. Auditor(s) to ensure completeness and accuracy. Researches issues for clients and responds or
makes recommendations. Sets up, supervises and reviews various control tests performed by Jr. Auditor(s) and Assistants, and
resolves and/or researches issues relating to control testing. Audits or attests Cost Certification, Carryover Allocations,
Limited Partnership Required Information Reports, and Breakeven Analysis. Provides ongoing training to junior staff and
completes performance evaluations. Conducts training sessions for staff and clients. Liaises between Jr. Auditors and
Manager/Director, and keeps supervisor(s) informed of the engagement status. Other duties as assigned.. |

Requirements: |

|
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a closely related
field, plus two (2) years experience in public accounting specializing in affordable housing. |
