Asher Staff Cruises on the Delaware and Salutes Don Davis
The 2003 Staff Party, held on September 25, also served as the going away party for retiring director Don Davis. Staff and guests enjoyed a cruise down the Delaware (a 3 hour tour.. a 3 hour tour). Staff Parties are always special, and this one was no different. Coach Mike Byrnes handed out personalized recognition 'awards' to our softball team which came so close to victory in the playoffs. The highlight of the evening was the tribute to Don. As a firm leader for a very, very, very long time, Don's contributions to the firm and staff development will carry on for years. As thanks for his dedication to the firm and his co-workers, Don was presented with assorted memorabilia from his favorite college, Notre Dame. Seriously, Don was given a hand-signed photo and letter of congratulations from Joe Paterno, coach of his actual favorite team, Penn State. Good luck to Don, enjoy your retirement!
