2001 Asher Open
2001 Asher OpenOn Friday, March 23rd, Megan McDonnell easily beat a field of 60 duffers to become the Champion of the 5th Annual Asher Open. Megan shot a scorching 27 to beat Carl Graf and Jason Capaldi's 29s. Mark Carney and Susan Mock checked in at 30. TV station 10-NBC provided a highlight when they showed Kevin Johnson sinking a putt and Steve Carr's attempt to tame hole number 3 during their early newscast. As this year's champion, Megan has the privilege of donating all proceeds from registration fees to an organization of her choice. Megan plans to split the donation between the American Cancer Society in memory of Hilda Davis and the purchase of toys for dialysis patients to play with during treatments at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Congratulations to Megan.

The winner of the hotly-contested Hole Design Contest was Anthony Arcaro. Rumor has it that Anthony was in the office at 4:30 am setting up his hole, which featured tubes, ramps, shoots, and a gutter. Ironically, Anthony's face was featured in the runner-up design by Bill Burns and Nick Mancini.
