Third Annual
Asher Open
The Third annual Asher Open Office Golf Tournament is history, but will never be
forgotten. The highlight was Managing Director Steve Carr's showdown with Pete Christy of
Comcast SportsNet. Pete hosts a segment called "I Beat Pete" which features all
types of crazy sporting challenges. Pete has crashed stock cars, stood in front of blazing
slapshots, and braved one-one basketball challenges from kids. For his efforts, he has
been in emergency rooms and out on disability. The chance to play Office Golf with little
threat of injury was appealing to Pete. Little did he know what he was getting into.
Office Golf was born at Asher & Company. The office is transformed into a 9 hole
putt-putt course complete with water hazards and sand traps. The event is a stress-buster
during the rigors of tax season.
As the story turns out, Steve beat Pete (rather soundly)! Pete's featured report, which
premiered on April 15th, was incredible. If you get the chance, ask Steve for some tips on
how to read tricky indoor greens. Thanks to Pete and his cameraman Kevin for providing an
exciting kick-off to our event. We hope Pete had as much fun as we did.
